Training:
The training program here will consist of 6 weeks of a training program. This training program consists of a series of videos covering every detail that is needed to perform all tasks and knowledge that will be expected of the employee. The first week will cover basic information and precautions in the work place, and then progress into how to help customers and prevent thefts in the store.
Customer Service:
We will follow a strict customer service guideline called GLAM. We “Greet” people when they walk in the door, “Let” the customer tell you their needs, “Assist” them in finding what they need, “Make” additional sales of similar equipment. The phones should always be answered “it’s a great day at Zuma sports, how may we assist you?”
Salary Reviews:
Based on the amount of sales made, and rewards card sign ups, employees can be rewarded with a raise or promotion.
Employee Benefits:
Our employees will receive a 25% discount on all store items, as well as optional insurance plans through the company.
Complaints:
All complaints should be directed to the manager who will handle those calls. If the complaint is large enough, the manager will direct the call to the vice president to handle the situation.
Attendance:
Attendance is expected to be exceptional from our employees. If a person is a “no call/ no show” they will receive a warning. The second time they will be reprimanded. After a third time an employee will be terminated.
Dress Code:
Employees are to wear a black or blue collared shirt, khaki shorts or pants, and a type of athletic shoes with ankle socks. No piercings (besides 2 holes in women’s ears) or tattoos will be allowed. They should be covered at all times.
Cellphone/ Internet Use:
No cellphones are allowed on the store floor. The only internet use allowed is to place orders for customers on our website.
Use of Social Media:
The use of social media is prohibited while at work. If anyone is caught using social media, or using it to speak negatively about the company, they will be reprimanded.
Breaks:
Those people working 6 or more hours will receive two, 10 minute breaks. Those working 8 or more hours will receive one, 10 minute break, and one 30 minute break. 10 minute breaks are paid, but employees must clock out for 30 minute breaks.
